Who we are

Developing the aviation workforce and talent pipeline that powers global air mobility and strengthens America’s AMT infrastructure.

Novelty A.I.R. was founded with a clear and bold vision: to build a trusted, forward-thinking aviation readiness and workforce development hub that prepares the next generation of aviation professionals to meet industry demand with confidence, competence, and character.

What A.I.R. Represents

  • Aviation – The shared foundation of flight, systems, safety, and technical heritage.

  • Innovation – A commitment to progress, modern learning models, and forward-thinking solutions.

  • Readiness – The deliberate preparation of people, skills, and systems to meet real-world aviation demands.

Readiness is more than technical instruction. It reflects workforce preparedness across the full aviation ecosystem — ensuring individuals are job-ready, safety-minded, adaptable, and future-oriented from day one.

This name reflects a broad mission: to develop aviation talent across maintenance, operations, engineering, logistics, and emerging technologies, unmanned (drone) aircraft, and Advanced Air Mobility — aligning education with industry need, workforce gaps, and long-term economic resilience.

Our Mission

Novelty A.I.R. is designed to be both a training academy and aviation readiness center, preparing individuals not just to enter aviation — but to succeed and advance within it.

We will:

  • Deliver accelerated, high-quality aviation training aligned with workforce demand

  • Prepare individuals for immediate employment through competency-based readiness models

  • Partner with industry leaders to provide immersive, real-world experience

  • Foster a learning culture grounded in integrity, technical excellence, adaptability, and leadership

While our foundation is rooted in aviation maintenance and operations, our readiness mission extends to emerging aviation domains, including:

  • Advanced propulsion and electrification

  • Unmanned and autonomous systems

  • Advanced air mobility

  • Smart infrastructure and sustainable aviation solutions

Our Emblem

Phoenix rising with extended wings — is more than a logo. It is a powerful symbol of resilience, renewal, and enduring excellence. Just as the phoenix rises stronger from its ashes, Novelty A.I.R. represents the continual renewal of aviation talent, capability, and leadership through intentional training, preparation, and innovation.

Our Name

“Novelty” itself carries a subtle, intentional meaning — a nod to integrity as something rare and valuable in today’s educational and workforce landscape. In a world where shortcuts too often replace mastery, and speed overshadows preparation, Novelty stands for the novel idea that doing things the right way still matters.

This meaning, designed as an easter egg hidden in plain sight, reminds us that what truly sets us apart isn’t just what we train — but how we prepare people to lead, adapt, and perform.

Looking Forward

Novelty A.I.R. will stand as a beacon for aviation workforce development — a place where preparation meets purpose, and readiness enables innovation to take flight.

We don’t just train technicians. We prepare aviation professionals, leaders, innovators, and problem solvers who will carry the industry forward for generations to come.

And at the heart of everything we do is a single, guiding principle:

Integrity — a novel idea worth protecting.

Our Founder & CEO

Peter Lane is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Novelty AIR, a next-generation aviation workforce and innovation company focused on aviation maintenance, career readiness, and the emerging technologies reshaping global air mobility. Through Novelty AIR, Lane is building a nationally scalable talent pipeline designed to address one of the most pressing challenges facing aviation today: preparing, credentialing, and deploying a highly skilled technical workforce at a speed and scale that has not been attempted before.

Lane brings deep, first-hand experience as a founding executive. He previously built Legacy Aviation Learning Center from the ground up—conceiving, launching, and scaling one of the most accelerated aviation maintenance training programs in the United States. Under his leadership, Legacy Aviation Learning Center became known for pairing rigorous hands-on craftsmanship with modern learning architecture, demonstrating that speed, quality, and safety can coexist when workforce training is intentionally designed.

At Legacy Aviation Learning Center, Lane pioneered the integration of software-as-a-service platforms, adaptive learning systems, virtual reality, and data-driven instructional design to increase comprehension, shorten time-to-competency, and improve long-term knowledge retention—without compromising the physical, tactile skills that aviation maintenance demands. His work reinforced a core principle that continues to guide Novelty AIR: technology should enhance skilled labor, not replace it.

Novelty AIR builds on this foundation while expanding the aperture. The company’s mission spans aviation maintenance, unmanned and drone aircraft, advanced air mobility, engineering, logistics, and adjacent technical disciplines—creating flexible, stackable pathways that align workforce development with real-world operational demand. Lane’s vision extends beyond training individuals; it is focused on designing durable systems that connect education, industry, and opportunity at national scale.

Beyond operations, Lane is recognized for his breadth as a leader. His background includes executive governance, complex regulatory environments, institutional fundraising, philanthropic strategy, and leadership development. He has worked closely with donors, public agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners to align capital, mission, and measurable outcomes. This blend of operational rigor and philanthropic fluency allows Novelty AIR to engage private-sector employers, nonprofit partners, and public stakeholders with equal credibility.

Lane is also deeply grounded in community and family. He is a husband and father, an active youth sports coach, and a committed volunteer civic leader. His community involvement includes leadership with Scouting and service as President of the Grand Traverse Ski Club, where he has focused on organizational sustainability, youth development, and volunteer engagement. These roles inform his belief that workforce readiness is not merely an economic imperative, but a civic responsibility rooted in mentorship, access, and long-term opportunity.

Through Novelty AIR, Peter Lane is redefining how aviation talent is discovered, trained, and deployed—creating pathways that are faster, smarter, more inclusive, and aligned with the future of flight.
